«After Dark» — mixed media analog & digital collage, Paris

This mixed media collage series brings elemental mythology into contemporary form. "After Dark" was first exhibited in 2010 at Pantocrátor Gallery in Berlin as an analog collage series. In 2026, Nagel digitally reworked these forgotten pieces, allowing the collages to merge anew with their backgrounds.

Fire, water, air, and earth flow through the compositions. Lightning strikes. Faceless, mystical figures emerge — at the threshold between the natural and the mythological. Something ancient surfaces. Something unnamed.

This digital intervention creates a new synthesis, uniting nature, myth, and collage in a contemporary mixed-media language. The analog origins remain visible beneath the digital surface — a memory the work refuses to abandon. What emerges honors the archive while breathing new life into his artistic archive.
